1. Who we are

The Ridgeway State Senate website is a fan-made, community-run project for a fictional Roblox roleplay community. It is operated privately by community volunteers. It is not a real government body, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. You can reach the operators through the Ridgeway State Senate Roblox group.

2. What we collect

If you sign in through Roblox OAuth, we receive your Roblox user ID, username, display name, and avatar URL. We also read your rank in our Roblox group from Roblox's public group API. We store content you choose to submit on the site, such as petitions and bill drafts. Our hosting providers also generate routine technical logs, which include your IP address and browser user agent.

3. Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. It is httpOnly and expires after 7 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

4. How we use it

We use this data to operate the site, to give you the right access based on your role in the community, and to moderate submitted content.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the site: Railway (hosting and database), Cloudflare (DNS and proxy), and Roblox (sign-in). Fonts are served from Google Fonts, so Google's servers receive your IP address when the page loads.

6. Retention

We keep your account data until you ask us to delete it. Technical logs are short-lived and are discarded automatically.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting the operators through our Roblox group.

8. Children

The site serves a Roblox community. We only receive the profile data Roblox provides after you authorize sign-in, and nothing more. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to have a child's data removed.

9. Security

Session cookies are httpOnly so scripts cannot read them, and API keys are stored only as hashes, never in plain text.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
